We are trying to make this a fuel efficient trip but this is not what we had in mind!!!!!!

It started as a great day leaving Daytona, I went to galley to make some lunch and start the generator, BLACK smoke started to billow out from the vents on the side of the boat from the engine room. Ron shuts down the engines and grabs the fire extinguisher! NO fire thank God! just tons of black smoke and the sides of the boat are covered in soot ! Ron starts the engine again, all good, then the black smoke again. Shut it down and called the closest marina, they advised us that Cummings has a service center in Jacksonville, Ron spoke to them and asked us to get towed to St Augustine and they would send their mobile mechanic out on Tuesday( they think it may be an exhaust leak) So.....

We were suppose to go in to St Augustine Municipal Marina downtown, they wouldn't take us unless we came in on our own power.

So Camachee Island took us! Our Boat US captain was amazing Backed us stern first into a slip with big 45-50' fishing boats on both sides. Dock hands here are great and they have 2 loaner cars as we will be here awhile. ( I knew we left early for a reason!) Our friends Pat & Brenda Murphy are coming on Saturday for the night, looking forward to seeing them! More to come I am sure ..... it's a boat!!!!!!
