So not much is open during the week in Crisfield. Many of the crab companies have moved. The museum at Crisfield was very interesting and told the story of the watermen and the harvesting of blue crab and soft shell crab. Ok for all you Oyster & Blue Crab lovers. I decided to cook my first soft shell crabs so I went to Pinterest found a recipe. We walked to the Oyster warehouse, there is no retail here, so they get out a gallon of oysters and asked how many we want. We got 24 which cost us $12. We thought we died and went to heaven. Then down the street to the sister warehouse for soft shell crab. We had met the manager the night before and told us to come back the next day as they were closing. We got 12 sandwich size crabs for $14. We are literally skipping back to the boat ( ok not Ron with his knee). It still has not stopped raining. I love my pink coat but don't want to wear it daily! We joined a couple other looper boats for "docktails" of course. We met Joern & Regina Repenning from Longboat Key! So fun to meet neighbors at home.
