OK so what is the white board? Ron heard this noise about 4 am., got up to look out the windows and a black bear and her cub, made scrap wood of the container for the trash. He tried to take photo's on the Nikon camera and we will see if that worked., but this is how she chewed the end of the trash container to get in. What a mess. Of course Ron woke me up at 4 am to see the bear, no moon or real light so I saw an outline and that is it. But ok our first bear sighting. !!!

ok let's say " Small World" We stayed at the Sportsman, they have a very old pontoon boat they take back and forth across the inlet called "tinkerbell" Whey we were talking with our friends the Reynold's they had the same tinkerbell years ago whey they boated the Georgian bay. So we go to the outside bar, to have a beverage or so and the guy that owns it winters on Longboat Key! Traded favorite restaurants and talked for hours about home. We got the dinghy out and I did my FIRST official ride in BLT II.

Not sure how much our friends in Florida have heard about the wildfires in Ontario . The small craft channel is the route most take through the Georgian Bay. The fires have closed the small craft channel between Britt and Killarney. As we came out of our anchorage Georgian Bay was a smooth as glass. The Waterway Guide the bible of boaters, doesn't recommend boats over 40 feet going through hangdog channel, which sends us out into Georgian Bay. We have heard from many of our looper friends that they spent over 5 days in Britt, ON waiting on the weather to be good enough to cross the Georgian Bay. When we saw the water conditions we said let's go for it.

Smooth as glass, I said to Ron, I wish I had a water ski! ( way to old for that stuff now) but perfect conditions. We ran about 70 miles across and got into Killarney late afternoon.
