We entered Canada around Rouses Point, NY cleared customs easily they didn't board our boat, Ron went in with the passports and we were on our way to Chambly, Our first experience with the Canadian locks. We were amazed at the hand cranking of the locks. Figured out I purchased the wrong "seasonal pass" - I purchased the Rideau Canal and nothing else. Well the good thing is if you save the receipts Parks Canada will make it whole at the end of the trip. We stayed on the wall at Chambly the first night in Canada, cute town, walked around and met fellow loopers that we had sat with in Norfolk. Woke up and back at it on our way to Montreal for Canada Day July. 1. Our first stair step locks a set of 3 from Chambly to the Lake Chambly. What a great experience! At the end of the 3 stair step locks a cute little floating BBQ raft!. So cleaver!
