We stopped here as they have a "courtesy" car that they reserved for us to get me to the airport on Monday. Hmmmmm we drove it to the store and on the way we called Enterprise and rented a car. Not sure that car would have made the 90 mile trip to Panama City and back for Ron. At this point in the trip Eddie's Weather Wage becomes your guiding light. Our friends Norm & Susie on Jubilant are about to catch up with us after taking a couple weeks to go back home. Back to Eddie's Weather Wage., we traveled with Eddie & LInda down the rivers as they did the loop for the 3rd time. Eddie does a weather report for loopers, you get a email every morning about 5 am , ( yes he really gets up that early for all of us loopers) he tells you if you have a go to do the 180 mile crossing from Carrabelle to Tarpon Springs/Clearwater. The first part of November the days you have good weather to cross has been limited. So while I was in Michigan the news came that a night crossing would be good on the day I would fly back from Michigan.

Since Ron was on the boat by himself he did something we had not had to do was move the boat without his Admiral. Jubilant and Bucket List made the way to Apalachicola and I would just uber there. Simple enough! Well no uber in Panama City so I found a cab to take me the hour drive. Michigan had black ice the morning I left so they had to de-ice the plane so I missed the connection in Atlanta. Ron then took the boat to Carrabelle and I would go there to catch the boat for the night crossing. My first ever $300 cab ride, don't want to do that again. On the way we drove through Mexico Beach, and i had tear running down my cheeks at the damage along the entire coast. We are coming up on Thanksgiving and we have so much to be thankful for.
